Epoxy Self-Leveling — Seamless Floor System

What is Epoxy Self-Leveling?
And How Does It Work?

Epoxy Self-Leveling is a low-viscosity epoxy floor system that flows and self-levels under gravity. Once cured, it produces a perfectly flat, seamless, non-porous surface — ideal for areas demanding the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene.

Smart & Bright's Epoxy Self-Leveling delivers a smooth, continuous, seamless surface that prevents the build-up of bacteria, mould, and contaminants. Materials are certified to Food Grade and Pharma Grade standards — suited to hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, food factories, and clean rooms.

Capabilities of Epoxy Self-Leveling

The Self-Leveling floor system delivers peak performance for areas demanding cleanliness and hygiene, with a perfectly smooth, seamless surface finish.

Perfectly Seamless Surface
Self-levels under gravity to produce a continuous surface with no joints or seams, eliminating harbourage points for dirt, bacteria, and mould.
Chemical & Cleaning Agent Resistant
Withstands acids, alkalis, alcohol, and high-concentration disinfectants — suited to hospitals and pharmaceutical plants requiring frequent sanitisation.
High Flatness Tolerance
Surface flatness achieved to ±2 mm per 2 metres — meeting the stringent floor levelness requirements of clean rooms and laboratories.
Easy to Clean
Non-porous surface does not absorb water or contaminants — cleaned by wiping or rinsing, and fully compatible with wet mopping cleaning systems.
Impact Resistance
A 2–3 mm coating thickness provides sufficient flexibility to withstand operational impact, dropped equipment, and regular movement of goods and trolleys.
Wide Colour & Finish Selection
Available in a full range of RAL standard colours. Safety symbols and zone demarcation line markings can be added for organisation and workplace safety.

The Epoxy Self-Leveling Process

A systematic approach by specialist technicians — from surface preparation through to precise pouring and levelling of the epoxy system.

1
Assessment & Planning
Engineers measure floor moisture levels, assess concrete condition, and determine the appropriate primer system and coating thickness for the environment.
2
Surface Preparation & Conditioning
Diamond grinding opens the concrete pores and improves adhesion. Cracks, voids, and surface defects are repaired with specialist materials before the main application begins.
3
Epoxy Pouring & Self-Levelling
Primer is applied to penetrate deep into the substrate, then the self-levelling epoxy is poured and allowed to flow level naturally. A spike roller releases air bubbles for a perfect finish.
4
Inspection & Handover
Thickness, flatness, and adhesion are verified to standard. Pull-off Adhesion testing is conducted before the completed floor area is handed over ready for use.
Epoxy Self-Leveling Application

Which Industries Is It Suited For?

Epoxy Self-Leveling is the top choice for environments requiring the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene — across medical, food processing, and electronics sectors.

01
Hospitals, Clinics & Operating Theatres requiring seamless floors that withstand chemical and UV disinfection and can be cleaned to a fully hygienic standard.
02
Research & Testing Laboratories requiring high-standard flat floors, resistance to laboratory chemicals, and prevention of cross-zone contamination.
03
Pharmaceutical & Drug Manufacturing Plants (Pharma Grade) requiring GMP compliance — non-porous floors resistant to high-concentration disinfectants and IPA.
04
Food & Beverage Manufacturing Plants requiring FDA-compliant Food Grade flooring — resistant to hot water washing and aggressive cleaning chemicals.
05
Clean Rooms & Electronics Factories requiring dust-controlled smooth flooring — ESD (anti-static) additives can be incorporated to protect against electrostatic discharge.
