What is Ferro Scan?
And How Does It Work?

Ferro Scan is a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method that uses Electromagnetic Induction to detect the position, distribution, and size of reinforcing steel within concrete — with no drilling or demolition required.

Accurately identifies the position, size, and concrete cover depth of reinforcing steel — confirming the structure conforms to design drawings and engineering standards.

What We Measure

Capabilities of Ferro Scan

Rebar Location
Accurately identifies the horizontal position of every rebar within the concrete and presents the results as a detailed Rebar Map.
Concrete Cover Depth
Measures the concrete cover thickness over each rebar to verify compliance with corrosion protection standards.
Rebar Diameter
Estimates the diameter of reinforcing bars to confirm they correspond to the specified construction drawings.
Rebar Spacing
Measures the pitch between individual rebars and compares against design drawings to assess construction accuracy.
