What Are Wall Saws?
And How Do They Work?

Wall Saws are concrete cutting systems mounted on guide rails fixed to walls. A high-speed diamond blade cuts vertical and angled concrete wall sections with straight, highly accurate cuts, making the method ideal for building renovation and new wall openings.

Wall Saws outperform manual cutting in every key aspect: straight, clean cuts that require less finishing repair, reduced structural vibration, and the ability to cut up to 750 mm deep in a single pass. They are suitable for walls, beams, and thick structural elements.

Capabilities of Wall Saws

Concrete wall cutting with guide-rail Wall Saw machines for maximum cutting accuracy, supporting projects of every size from door openings to thick structural cuts.

Precise Vertical Wall Cutting
A diamond blade mounted on guide rails creates straight, smooth cuts without vibration or distortion. Ideal for high-precision door, window, and service openings.
Cuts Up to 750 mm Deep
Cuts thick walls and heavy structures in a single pass, reducing work cycles, time, and cost. Suitable for all types of load-bearing concrete walls.
Reduced Vibration and Dust
Wet cutting technology reduces vibration and airborne dust, helping prevent damage to surrounding structures and new cracks in adjacent walls.
Cuts Multiple Angles and Shapes
Adjustable cutting angles support vertical, horizontal, and diagonal cuts, including special openings and angled shapes based on architectural requirements.
Suitable for Confined Spaces
Compact machines mount directly to the wall and can access tight areas or places excavators cannot reach, such as interior rooms and narrow corridors.
Precise Depth Control
Hydraulic control maintains consistent cutting depth along the full line, avoiding overcutting and reducing risk to embedded electrical conduits or water pipes.

Wall SawsProcess

A systematic process by skilled technicians, from survey and cut-line layout through rail installation, cutting to plan, and clean, accurate handover.

1
Survey and Planning
Engineers survey the wall, locate rebar with a Rebar Detector, scan pipes and cables with GPR, define the cut line and depth, and plan temporary support where needed.
2
Area Preparation and Rail Installation
Mark the cutting line, install straight and stable guide rails, prepare drainage for wet cutting, and protect surrounding areas from water and dust.
3
Cut Along the Specified Line
The Wall Saw moves along the rail slowly and precisely, using hydraulic depth control and cooling water throughout the cut to reduce dust and heat.
4
Removal and Handover
Safely remove the cut concrete section, inspect the cut line and opening size, clean the area, and issue a quality report for the completed work.
Wall Saws Application

Suitable forWhich Types of Work?

Wall Saws are suitable for cutting openings in all types of concrete walls, including building renovation, extensions, and partial demolition that require high precision.

01
Door and window openings in concrete walls for renovation and extension work, delivering straight, clean cuts that are ready for use and reduce additional finishing costs.
02
Opening expansion in load-bearing walls with temporary support planned before cutting for maximum safety. Suitable for room extensions, space merging, and layout changes.
03
Openings for HVAC, pipes, and electrical systems cut to specified sizes and shapes while avoiding embedded systems identified by GPR before cutting.
04
Partial wall demolition in renovation projects for factories, warehouses, and commercial buildings that need layout changes, reducing cost and time compared with full demolition.
05
Beam and concrete structure cutting in industrial plants to expand production areas or install new machinery without long production shutdowns.
