Makro Sailuad – Load Capacity Enhancement Using SMARTFIBER-SHEET UT70-30

Project Overview

     Makro Sainluad, a large-scale wholesale retailer, required a structural upgrade to increase the building’s live load capacity from 600 kg/m² to 900 kg/m². This enhancement was critical to support increased product storage and ensure operational safety across the facility.

 Material Used: SMARTFIBER-SHEET UT70-30

To achieve this, engineers selected SMARTFIBER-SHEET UT70-30, a high-performance Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) system specifically designed for structural strengthening.

🛠️ Execution Process

  1. Structural assessment of existing slab conditions

  2. Surface preparation and cleaning for optimal adhesion

  3. Installation of SMARTFIBER-SHEET UT70-30 using epoxy bonding

  4. Post-installation verification with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
