CFRP strengthening service for enhanced structural stability – using carbon fiber sheets.
Structural strengthening of a premium mixed-use development in Bang Na using 3 types of CFRP materials — supporting escalator loads and preventing cracking around floor openings.
THE FORESTIAS (MQDC) is a large-scale mixed-use development located in Bang Na, Bangkok, developed by Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC) under the concept of "Living in Harmony with Nature."
During construction, large floor openings were required to accommodate escalators, creating structural challenges due to concentrated loads and stresses at those points. The engineering team designed and carried out additional structural strengthening using 3 types of premium CFRP materials.
Clean the installation area of dust, grease, and moisture to ensure complete epoxy adhesive bonding.
Apply high-quality epoxy adhesive to bond SMARTFIBER-STRIP TL1020 along structural lines and lay SMARTFIBER-SHEET UT70-30 around the floor openings.
Spray Fire Retardant Paint over the reinforcement materials after installation to complete fire safety requirements.
Verify bond strength and conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to ensure quality at every point before project handover.
The MQDC team expressed high satisfaction with the execution and materials selected, commending it as a "cost-effective and flexible solution" that met the project's international-grade standards.
The structural strengthening of THE FORESTIAS using SMARTFIBER-STRIP TL1020, SMARTFIBER-SHEET UT70-30, and Fire Retardant Paint demonstrates modern materials innovation and engineering — delivering strength, safety, and sustainability without any demolition or reconstruction.
